I have been playing grown up for a while, but I think its about time to start another Space Empires game. That way I can pretend to be a kid for a few minutes a day.
For those of you who have never played it is a space game very similar to Civilization. Every Saturday and Wednesday I will send out a turn, or sooner if everyone sends in their turn. You will have till the next turn that is processed to send it back. This is normally done by e-mail. The game itself is old school enough not to require and real installation. I will share my dropbox folder with anyone who needs to install it. Just drag the folder somewhere once it all downloads and it will be immediately playable. You can give the game as much attention as you like. Most turns take a few minutes, unless you like to really micromanage, then they might be a bit longer.
In the past we have only played against the computers. This tends to make an exciting game till 3 or four of us find each other. Then the game loses a lot of its challenge, and in the end people tend to stop playing. Last game we discussed playing human team against human team to add to the challenge. We might even try several teams if enough people want to play.
I have started a forum for this game to help facilitate the game set up and organization. If you want to play join the forum. If you need the game e-mail me and I will share the drop box folder with you.
Feel free to invite any of your friends that might be interested.
